Insurance & Billing

We participate with many different insurance plans and will file for reimbursement. It is your responsibility to know the details of your health insurance plan with regard to referrals, co-payments and percentage of coverage. We recommend that you check your insurance benefits to be sure we participate with your plan.

We accept Georgia Medicaid, Amerigroup, Peach State, and Care Source. We don’t take Wellcare. Our office must be notified of any additional insurance you may have at the time of your visit.  Any primary insurances must be billed first. Failure to provide this information may result in untimely filing and the patient will incur all financial responsibility.

Billing for Laboratory/Pathology procedures: All laboratory and/or pathology procedures are billed separately from your office visit. You could receive a laboratory bill from any of the following:

Phytest: 404-943-0205
LabCorp: 1-800-845-6167
Quest: 1-800-326-4756

We require ALL payments at the time of your visit.  We will contact your insurance company for precertification of any scheduled procedures.  We will discuss your financial requirements due prior to the date of the appointment.   In addition to cash and checks, we accept all major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  There is a $35 NSF charge for all returned checks.

CW OBGYN is a division of Atlanta Women’s Health Group (AWHG) and you will receive your statement from the AWHG Central Billing Office.

If you have insurance payment questions or need assistance with your account balance please call our Central Billing Office at 404.303.7520. They will have all the information necessary to review your claims and assist with billing questions.

Standard Insurance Terms:

Deductible is a specified amount of money that the insured must pay before an insurance company will pay a claim. Each family member usually has a separate deductible.

Co Payments are flat fees charged each time you visit the doctor or use any medical service, regardless of the cost of the procedure.

Coinsurance requires you to pay a percentage of the total cost of the care. Many plans require either co insurance or co pay but some charge both.

Maximum out of pocket expense is the most you’ll have to spend before all of your medical bills are covered.
